Jewel Changi features the Rain Vortex, a massive indoor waterfall situated at the heart of Changi Airport. It’s easily accessible from all terminals. The Rain Vortex is the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, spanning seven stories with lush greenery and numerous trees. As water descends from the ceiling, it creates a beautiful cascade down to the basement floors. Inside, you’ll discover iconic figures like Iron Man and Thor’s hammer. It gets quite crowded, especially when a train passes by, creating a picturesque scene with the waterfall.
The Butterfly Garden is located in Terminal 3 at Changi Airport, making it the world’s first butterfly garden inside an airport. You can find 1,000 species of butterflies there. It’s free to roam, but the garden can only be accessed airside by passengers taking off from or landing at the airport. There are also educational signs and enclosures that allow visitors to observe the life cycle of the butterfly up close, from caterpillar to winged creature.
At Jewel, you’ll discover shops from major retailers, including Southeast Asia’s largest Nike store that carries the brand’s complete sports and lifestyle collections. Jewel is also an excellent spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, featuring outposts of some of Asia’s most beloved restaurant chains.
